Typical Tuscan Cooking Class with Leonardo Your Tuscan cooking class with Leonardo begins when he arrives at your villa with shopping bags overflowing with the freshest, tastiest ingredients Tuscany has to offer. Once you all settle into the kitchen, you will be taken step-by-step through the creation of an entire Tuscan four course menu. You can choose ahead of time to focus on traditional Tuscan, revised Tuscan, vegetarian or all organic cuisine. Once the meal is prepared, you will all sit down to feast on your creations together. Leonardo will have also brought along some wonderful wine to compliment the dishes you have prepared. Chef Leonardo's Profile Leonardo is an honours graduate of the Florence Hotel Academy. As a student he supplemented his income and accumulated practical experience by waiting on tables in various Florentine restaurants. At age twenty he and two good friends became co-owners of La Fattoria restaurant. The well respected restaurant is perched on a panoramic hill among vineyards and olive groves of the ancient Via Cassia in the Chianti region, some twenty kilometres south of Florence. After a dozen successful years there, he and a friend took over Il Macereto, a similar locale in a similar position in the nearby township of San Donato in Poggio. Leonardo is well versed in all things Chianti. A light-hearted, sunshine-y Tuscan with a well developed palate for flavours, textures and freshness, he has spent years studying the relationships among history and cooking customs in Italy. He and his life partner and accomplice in the kitchen, Monica, are continuously experimenting with new culinary techniques but usually favor a traditional but light cuisine centred on the dominant flavours of only a few, pure, fresh ingredients.   What's Included in Your Typical Tuscan Cooking Class with Leonardo Private, interactive Tuscan cooking lesson with Leonardo.
